Salmon Arm

Cornering, drops and flow - get it all in the Salmon Arm 1 day clinic happening again for 2023

The Rubberhead trails in Salmon Arm, BC offer tons of fun corners, lots of opportunity for speed and flow, and some great drops to learn and progress on.

To start the day we’ll talk about bike set up then tune in our body position to be able to ‘attack’ the trail, and practicing some key drills before heading up the hill. We’ll shuttle our way up so we can save on all that climbing and focus on our DH skills!

Lower level intermediate riders will focus on the fundamentals of downhill riding such as looking for your line through technical terrain, maintaining a strong body position, using the brakes effectively, and improving your cornering. We’ll progress our way through the trails working on skills as we go. More confidence = more flow = more fun!

Riders with more experience will start up a bit higher on the mountain and work on slightly steeper trails with some elevated features (optional), technical lines, and a ton of fun corners! Today also includes a small lesson on how to get the wheels in the air and practice on some of the natural drop features within the trails. Learn a ton, have some laughs and take away a bunch of new skills that will help you flow through the trails with a massive grin on your face!

* All participants must be members of the Shuswap Cycling ClubIMG 9460
